3 · Make the survey app
This builds the complete counting app with your photos and settings already inside — nothing to copy or move by hand.
- Go to app.netlify.com/drop (free; sign up so the site stays up and isn't password-protected).
- Drag the zip file (or the saved folder) onto the page. You get a web address such as
https://something.netlify.app— you can rename it in Site settings. - Email or message that address to the counters. They open it, enter their name and start counting. On a phone or tablet they can choose Add to Home Screen / Install app; after the first visit the photos are stored on the device and it works without signal.
- When they finish they press Save and send you the file; combine them in step 4.
To change the survey later, build again and drag the new zip onto your site's Deploys page — everyone gets the update next time they open it. Keep the same Survey ID to keep counters' progress; use a new one for a new survey.
